Grenade Thermo Detonator: Dumbbell Curl and Press Challenge

Grenade Thermo Detonator: Dumbbell Curl and Press Challenge

With alternate arms, curl and press a 16kg Dumbbell, keeping legs locked, and only allowing slight torso movement to 'cheat' curl the weight. No putting the weight down, no resting it on your legs, no bending legs to create movement, no wraps allowed (lifting gloves are fine) and no assistance from anyone else. Arms must be fully extended during the press.  more about this challenge...

  • profile pic Hey guys, score = number of reps. 1 rep = 1 curl and press (and then lower the weight back again), alternate arms, using a 16kg DB in each hand. First time I did this I did 53 reps. 5 months of solid training later and I was declared the National Endurance Champion at Bodypower Expo 2010. I stepped up the training for this year as I was going for the World Record (which I have unofficially broken, twice - needs to be on a public stage for it to count!!), but then tore my bicep at work 5 weeks before the event! by StLegerFitness on 8/18/2011 8:27:00 AM

  • profile pic Yeh, whats the script with the score? Is it weight times reps? by PersonTrainer on 8/16/2011 6:01:00 PM

  • profile pic What is the score? What are we counting? # of curls? amount of time? weight of individual? by Bear on 8/15/2011 11:26:00 PM
