So you have big strong muscles? Shame if you couldn't use them to their maximum potential. With greater flexibility, you could kick a ball further, take a longer running stride, punch harder, etc.
The Sit and Reach Test measures the flexibility of your hamstrings and lower back. What you will need is a box, a ruler, some sticky tape, and a pencil.
Tape the ruler to the box, so that the front end of the box is in line with 15cm (and the "zero end" points towards you). Warm up for 10min. With your shoes off, sit with your feet flat against the front of the box. (The ruler should be poking out towards you.) Now reach as far as you can towards your toes (with one hand on top of the other), and record the distance in centimetres. (You need to be able to hold the stretch for at least 2 seconds.)
