Challenge for: all
Ability level: suitable for all competitors
Age range: any age 		This will measure your reaction time - it's good for things like driving, or boxing, etc.

You will need a ruler, a friend, and a table (and chair).

Sit or stand near the edge of a table, resting your elbow on the table so your wrist extends over the side. Your friend will hold the ruler vertically in the air, so that the "zero mark" is between your thumb and index finger, but not touching. Let your friend know when you are ready. Your friend will then release the ruler without warning, and you need to catch it as quickly as possible (between your thumb and index finger). Record the distance the ruler fell in centimetres.
