Part of a treadmill 5k challenge with friends a year ago. I hate treadmills, in the 90's I did a sub 4 hour 50k on one which was torture but a bet is a bet.

Challenge for: all

Challenge goal: increase speed

Challenge targets: whole body

Level: suitable for all competitors

Age: any age

What does this challenge involve?

As a personal trainer and elite endurance athlete with over 750 marathons, 180 ultra marathons and 9 Guinness World Records for treadmill running, this is the first challenge I'm setting up.

It's simple - run as far as you can on a treadmill in 12 minutes and record the distance.

Just 12 minutes - isn't that a bit short you may ask? Well, I find it’s a great simple fitness test that gives me a real insight to what clients Personal Bests really are, so I thought it was a great challenge to set up on Konkura to get people started on the path to improving your running.

Whether you're an experienced runner or just starting out, doing this challenge regularly will help you track your improvement over time.

I'll be creating other challenges to help you improve your personal bests soon.
